Dr. Martina Stippler is Vice Chief of the Division of Neurosurgery and Director of Neurotrauma at Beth Israel Deacons Medica Center, and Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at Harvard Medical School. She is the BIDMC/ BMC Neurosurgery Associate Residency program director. She completed her neurosurgery training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She has a busy complex spine and anterior skull base practice. Her research interests are in multi-modality TBI management, triage of mild TBI, and goal of care discussing the urgent setting. She completed the Rabkin medical education fellowship and holds local and national roles to enhance continuing medical education by empowering faculty to employ active teaching techniques. and She has participated in many landmark TBI studies such as PROTECT, RESCURE acute SDH trial and now BOOOST III. She is the Chair Elected of the Executive Committee of the AANS/ CNS section of Neurotrauma, a past chair of Women in Neurosurgery, Chair of the CNS foundation, and Secretary of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
