Jaimin Patel, BS, is a medical student at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and he performed a research fellowship at the National Institute on Aging before starting medical school. He is completing a research fellowship between his third and fourth year of medical school in the laboratory of Drs. Ted and Valina Dawson. His work in the lab has focused on neuroprotective target identification and characterization in the setting of Parkinson's disease and stroke.
