Jimin Shin is a current third year at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Having graduated from Brown University, Jimin took two gap years working at the Department of Infectious Diseases at the Miriam Hospital, Providence. He developed an interest in clinical research in neurosurgery while working with Dr. Ketan Bulsara at UCHC. Since then, Jimin has gotten actively involved in neurosurgical research, working with the team at UCHC and at Connecticut Children's, with mentorship from Drs. Markus Bookland and David Hersh. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, having heart-to-heart conversations with his roommates, playing board games, and spending quality time with friends and family.
