Renate Jiayu Ma B.S. is a current third year medical student attending Wake Forest School of Medicine. She graduated from Wake Forest University in 2022 with a B.S. with honors in chemistry with a concentration in medicinal chemistry and drug discovery with a second major in classical studies. Renate is a member of the phi beta kappa honors society, the William C. and Ruth N. Archie awardee of her graduating class, and the recipitent of the 2022 John W. Nowell Award in undergraduate chemistry. She is currently a medical student researcher under the mentorship of Dr. Stacey Wolfe. In her free time, Renate enjoys international style ballroom dancing, brewing kombucha, and spending quality time with her cat Tess.
