Khaled M. Taghlabi, MD, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Neurosurgery at Houston Methodist Academic Institute. My basic/translational research is focused on the interplay of electric fields and currents with neural tissue for electrokinetic fluid transport, convection-enhanced drug delivery, and the development of bioelectronic interfaces and prosthetics to promote functional recovery after neural damage. My clinical research is focused on trauma, spine, and peripheral nerve surgery outcomes.
