Dr. Neena Marupudi is a pediatric neurosurgeon at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan and assistant professor of Neurosurgery at the Wayne State School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. After completing her undergraduate studies in neuroscience and anthropology as well as a master’s degree in neuroscience at the Johns Hopkins University, she entered medical school at the Penn State School of Medicine. Dr. Marupudi then completed her neurosurgical residency training at the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University program. She then completed her fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at the Seattle Children’s Hospital/University of Washington program before returning to the Children’s Hospital of Michigan to join the Wayne State faculty. She also completed a master’s degree program in Clinical Research Design and Statistical Analysis at the University of Michigan and is applying these skills to her research in spasticity, epilepsy, hydrocephalus, and pediatric brain tumors.
