Faraaz Azam is a second-year medical student at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. He is actively involved in various resesarch endeavours related to spinal surgery, patient outcomes, post-operative pain management, intraoperative neuromonitoring and various other neurosurgery related endeavours. He is also a co-president of UTSW's AANS Student Chapter.
