Dr. Shelly Wang is a pediatric neurosurgeon within the Brain Institute and Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, and an affiliate faculty at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She completed her medical degree and neurosurgical residency at the University of Toronto in Canada. Dr. Wang further completed a Master’s degree at Harvard University in Boston, and a pediatric neurosurgery fellowship at the University of Miami and Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Her clinical and research interests include the management of epilepsy, hydrocephalus, congenital and developmental anomalies of the central nervous system.
Dr. Wang is dedicated to advancing the field of pediatric neurosurgical through clinical innovation, quality improvement, and academic research. She is the PI or sub-PI of multiple clinical trials, studies and multicenter collaborative efforts. Dr. Wang is well-published in the field of pediatric neurosurgery, and her research has been presented at numerous national and international conferences.
