This fast-paced, interactive session introduces how palliative care can assist in providing goal-concordant care for patients. Participants will learn communication techniques that can be applied in an outpatient clinic setting, end-of-life decision-making in the ICU and goal of care discussions along the spectrum of neurosurgical care. Faculty explore the link between futile surgeries and moral injury. For all of you that think they do not need this session because you know how to talk to patients, come learn what you don’t know.
