David Satzer MD is a sixth-year neurosurgery resident at the University of Chicago. His research is focused on local field potentials (LFP) in epilepsy. Specific areas of interest include single-cell contributions to LFP, computational models of LFP, and use of LFP in neuromodulation. After residency, he will complete a fellowship in Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery at the University of Colorado. He is pursuing a career in epilepsy surgery, functional neurosurgery, and clinical research.
