Medical Student
Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, US
Hello, my name is Roshini Kalagara and I am originally from Phoenix, Arizona and went to college at Brown University. Currently, I am medical student at the Icahn School of Medicine on a scholarly year, serving as a research fellow for the Department of Neurosurgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the BioDesign Institute, the incubator for medical device innovation at Mount Sinai.
My clinical research focuses on outcomes after spine surgery and sports-related concussion/traumatic brain injury (with Dr. Tanvir Choudhri) and the management of intracerebral hemorrhage (with Dr. Christopher Kellner), with work relating to stroke detection, surgical treatment, and rehabilitation. At Sinai BioDesign, I am leading a project to develop a novel medical device for the treatment of neurodegenerative disease.
I will be applying for Neurosurgical Residency in the upcoming 2024-2025 ERAS application cycle and am very interested in connecting with other members in the field.
