Medical Student
CUNY School of Medicine, US
My name is Shayan Huda, and I'm a second-year medical student at the CUNY School of Medicine. My passion lies in the intricate world of neurosurgery, and I am driven to make it my lifelong career. Within my medical school, I hold the honor of serving as the President of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) chapter and as the President of the Neurosurgery Special Interest Group (SIG). These leadership roles not only showcase my dedication to the field but also allow me to foster collaboration and excellence among my peers.
My journey in Neurosurgery began during my undergraduate years when I delved into research within the field. I was fortunate to work as a Feinstein Researcher in Neurosurgery, an experience that solidified my passion and ignited my desire to pursue translational research. My ultimate goal is to bridge the gap between bench science and clinical practice, developing innovative treatments that will enhance patient care. As I continue my medical education and research endeavors, I am committed to making meaningful contributions to the field of neurosurgery. With determination and dedication, I am ready to become a leader and translational researcher in this fascinating specialty.
