Ms. Alexandra White, BA is a fourth-year medical student at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. She grew up in Ann Arbor, MI and Moscow, Russia and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Biology and Comparative Literature from Columbia University in 2017. Alexandra is currently conducting a year-long research masters thesis project in the laboratory of Dr. Andre Machado and Dr. Kenneth Baker in the Lerner Research Institute at the Cleveland Clinic, which studies novel applications of deep brain stimulation. In addition, Alexandra is pursuing a Masters degree in Bioethics and Medical Humanities at Case Western Reserve University. She also conducts clinical research in skull base, functional, vascular, and spine neurosurgery at the Cleveland Clinic. Alexandra has a special interest in surgical decision-making, ethical issues in neurosurgery, and education and mentorship.
