Medical Student
Harvard Medical School / Boston Children's Hospital, BR
My name is Marcia Harumy Yoshikawa. I am a final-year medical student from University of São Paulo (Brazil) and research intern at Boston Children's Hospital/Harvard Medical School. I was born and raised in the Amazon Region and moved to Sao Paulo 6 years ago to attend Medical School. Even before starting medical school, I was already fascinated by the complexity of the human brain. Throughout the course, I had the opportunity to further my knowledge of neuroscience by working as a research student in the Neurosurgery Department of my Medical School. Currently, I am a research intern at Harvard Medical School, where I am engagged on projects related to the use of ETV/CPC hydrocephalus treatment in infants.
