Medical Student
University of Arizona, US
My name is Michelle Ennabe, and I am currently part of a bridge program for first-generation college students at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. My academic journey includes earning three interdisciplinary undergraduate degrees: a BS in Neuroscience, a BSHS in Physiology, and a BA in Sociology. Furthering my education, I completed an MS in Cellular and Molecular Medicine and am on track to finish my second MS in Medical Studies by May 2024. My next milestone is matriculating into medical school in July 2024.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I am deeply involved in global health initiatives. As the Vice President of the Global Neurosurgical Alliance, I play a pivotal role in supporting over 500 students worldwide in scientific research, with 55 active projects aimed at medical breakthroughs. Furthermore, I have dedicated eight years as the President of La Mesa Village Produce on Wheels Without Waste program. During my tenure, we redistributed over 1 million pounds of produce to low-income communities, addressing social determinants of health to foster greater equity.
