I have been practicing as an orthopaedic surgeon for the last decade, with the spine being a subspecialty of my interest. Currently, I am employed as an assistant professor at one of the prestigious institutes in Mumbai. Teaching has been my passion, and it’s my pleasure to mentor postgraduate orthopaedic residents during their journey to becoming successful orthopaedic surgeons. Along with my residents, I am working on numerous research projects. During my education and further career, I realized that spine surgery is challenging and undergoing a lot of transformation, which encouraged me to take it as a specialty of interest. At present, I am working on a new hypothesis for syringomyelia formation as well as the different instrument and implant designs in spine and orthopaedic surgery that are under patent processing. Currently, I am serving on the editorial board of the “International Journal of Neurosurgery” and as a reviewer at the “International Journal of Case Reports and Images”.
