Medical Student
Santa Casa de São Paulo School of Medical Sciences
My name is Valentina, I'm 21 years old, a medical student at Santa Casa de São Paulo, and I'm interested in pursuing a residency in Neurosurgery. I have a dual education background, having graduated from both the Brazilian and American High School at the University of Missouri. I'm fluent in English and can speak Spanish. During high school, I had my first article published in the Febrace magazine (Brazilian Fair of Science and Engineering) at USP in 2018.
Throughout my education, I'm seeking to take advantage of all the opportunities that Santa Casa has to offer, such as clubs, scientific research, and internships. Currently, I'm part of the neurosurgery club at my college, conducting research on Alzheimer's, 3 cases reports, helping in a Post Doctoral thesis and involved in the Santa Maluquice project with the children in Pediatrics, which is one of my passions. Additionally, last year I was president of the Legal Medicine and Forensics League.
I'm considering studying abroad, doing elective internships during the exchange program, and pursuing residency in the United States. Therefore, I'm also seeking internships and opportunities that will help me achieve these goals, such as observational internships, conferences/courses, and research in neurosurgery.
