Hallie Gaitsch is an MD/PhD student in the NIH Oxford-Cambridge Scholars Program and the Johns Hopkins Medical Scientist Training Program. She has completed her first two years of medical school at the Johns Hopkins SOM and is currently in her third year of graduate study at the University of Cambridge. Her PhD project is co-mentored by Dr. Daniel Reich (NIH/NINDS), Prof. Robin Franklin (Cambridge), and Prof. David Rowitch (Cambridge). She graduated from Yale University in 2019 with a B.S. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. In 2021, she was awarded a Gates-Cambridge Scholarship. She aspires to pursue a career in academic neurosurgery.
