Aryan Wadhwa (BA) is a first-year medical student at Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine, and a research student at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He is interested in the applications of deep brain stimulation for movement disorders, and both their motor and non-motor long-term effects. He is further exploring the sleep-related networks involved in subthalamic nucleus stimulation, and how to optimize outcomes after DBS surgery. Additionally, he is interested in exploring neurovascular surgical interventions for the treatment of more acute, traumatic conditions, especially in pediatric patient populations. Outside of his work, you can find Aryan trying new restaurants, going to concerts, and cooking new recipes.
