Giovanni Kozel is a first-year medical student at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He has conducted research with the Norman Prince Brain and Spine Institute and the Department of Neurosrugery at Rhode Island Hospital as well as the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami. His published research has focused on the applications of artifiical intelligence, in particular ChatGPT, to neurosurgery and neurooncology, and the intersection of cognitive behavioral therapy with spine surgery outcomes. Giovanni is currently continuing his research in both of these areas, with additiona work on the outcomes of endoscopic spine surgeries and an analysis of high frequency ultrasound treatments for essential tremor.
