My name is Jalee Birney, BS and I am a second year medical student at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. I went to the University of Kansas for undergrad where I majored in Molecular Biology and Psychology. I am a first generation college student, both of my parents work in the agricullutre industry in a small town in southwest Kansas. I became interested in neurosurgery when I started shadowing my sophomore year of college and have not looked back.
