Michael Zhang, MD is a 6th year neurosurgery resident at Stanford Hospital and Clinics. He studied economics and health policy at Harvard and then transitioned to Stanford for medical school, where he has been ever since. His neurosurgical interests have primarily been in neuro-oncology with relevant extension into immunotherapy, awake mapping, and machine learning for tumor differentiation on MRI. Outside neurosurgery, he tries to do just enough distance running to be ready for the next marathon.
