Ross Puffer, MD is an assistant professor of neurosurgery at USUHS and a staff neurosurgeon at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. He is the director of the peripheral nerve program which includes a multi-disciplinary clinic including Orthopedics, PMR, Neurology, Neurosurgery and Plastic/Reconstructive surgery, focusing on treating complex peripheral nerve injuries in wounded warriors and family members. He completed his residency training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, as well as a peripheral nerve fellowship with Dr. Robert Spinner at Mayo Clinic. His research interests included peripheral nerve reconstruction, peripheral nerve tumors, and traumatic brain injury.
