Douglas Hardesty, MD FAANS, is vice chair and associate professor of neurosurgery at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, as well as director of the skull base surgery program at CHI Health CUMC Bergan Mercy Medical Center. Dr. Hardesty graduated medical school from the University of Pennsylvania and subsequently completed his neurosurgery residency at Barrow Neurological Institute. He then undertook a year-long endoscopic endonasal and minimally invasive cranial surgery fellowship with Dr. Daniel Prevedello at Ohio State University, before joining the faculty there from 2018-2023. In 2023, Dr. Hardesty was recruited to Omaha to build a world-class skull base surgery program. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on cranial surgery and patient outcomes, and presented on national and international stages.
