David Dornbos III, MD is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Kentucky, specializing in cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery. Dr. Dornbos’ research focuses on new imaging modalities in ischemic stroke and developing a better understanding of the cerebral microenvironment in the acute setting of stroke. He is collaborating in numerous clinical trials evaluating new treatment modalities in stroke, intracranial hemorrhage and traumatic brain injury. He is also leading several quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving the safety and care of neurosurgical patients.
