Grace Simmons is a second-year medical student at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. She graduated from Princeton University in 2022 with an A.B. in Neuroscience and a certificate in Global Health & Health Policy. Her undergraduate senior thesis focused on an fMRI experiment investigating the neural correlates of music-induced narratives. Currently, she is engaged in research in the Division of Functional Neurosurgery at Columbia University Irving Medical Center under the mentorship of Dr. Brett Youngerman, examining barriers to presurgical evaluation for drug-resistant epilepsy.
