Michael Zargari (B.S.) is an MD candidate at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine where he is set to graduate in 2025. He received a Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of California Los Angeles before graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2020. His previous research spans work with preclinical rat models of pulmonary hypertension and cardiotoxicity, clinical outcomes after lung transplantation, and evidence-based fall prevention programs. His current research focuses on the effects of deep brain stimulation on cognition in patients with Parkinson's disease and clinical outcomes in patients with sports-related concussion. He is a recipient of the 2020 UCLA Dean’s Excellence in Research Award.
