Medical Student
Mayo Clinic, Rochester, United States
I am a 3rd year medical student at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. I am originally from New York City, earned my Bachelors degree from Middlebury College in Neuroscience, a certificate of Medical Sciences from Columbia University School of General Studies, and a masters in public health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Following earning my bachelors degree, I worked for a year and a half performing improvisational comedy with Upright Citizens Brigade. Following this I worked as a member of a team overseeing an outreach based research program at the Child Mind Institute. During my undergraduate studies I worked as a research assistant in the Spritzer laboratory in neuroendocrinology and the Strickland laboratory at Rockefeller University in neurobiology and genetics, and during my graduate studies at Columbia's Goldberg and Ferrera laboratories in neuroscience and neuroophthalmology. Just prior to metriculating to medical school I worked as an executive assistant at the Billion Minds Institute, working with an integrated clinical team facilitating a wide array of small scale interventions targeting public health problems and mental health in the setting of climate change. At Mayo Clinic, I am involved in neurosurgery, neurotrauma and neurooncology research. I am planning to apply into neurosurgery in the 2024 residency application cycle.
