Dr M. Craig McMains, MD FAAOS is a soine surgeon practicing at OrthoIndy in Indianapolis, IN. He is a board certified, Stanford-trained spine surgeon specializing in minimally-invasive techniques. Dr. McMains received a bachelor of science degree in neurobiology and physiology from Purdue University. He received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, and completed an orthopedic residency at Ohio State University and a spine fellowship at Stanford University. He has a special interest in minimally-invasive spine surgery, and is trained in treating herniated discs, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, spinal deformity and cervical radiculopathy/myelopathy, and also performs revision surgeries. He leverages innovation within the field to produce superior results.
Dr. McMains is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society and Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two young sons, and infant daughter. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys fishing.
