Isuru Somawardana is a third-year medical student at the School of Engineering Medicine at Texas A&M. He graduated from Rice University in 2021 with a degree in Bioengineering and now works part-time for a medical device startup, Solenic Medical. He is also a recipient of the Craig Brown and Suzanne Smith & Frank and Jean Raymond Engineering Medicine Capstone Innovator Award and is currently conducting research at the Faraji Lab at HMRI.
