Dr. Alexander Schupper is a neurosurgery resident at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, in New York City. Dr. Schupper has published over 130 peer-reviewed manuscripts, book chapters and guideline papers, and has clinical and academic interests in complex adult and pediatric spinal deformities. Since starting residency, Dr. Schupper has pursued a passion for global spine surgery, and is working with international scoliosis surgeons to establish a compreshensive scoliosis program in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He has a passion for innovation, and sees himself as an inventor and developer in the space of surgical adjuncts and intraoperative visualization devices. Dr. Schupper received his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. Prior to medical school, Dr. Schupper attended Johns Hopkins University, where he participated in varsity baseball, and created a mobile-based platform to help patients navigate post-operative recovery.
