My name is Caleb Nerison, I am a medical student at Western University of Health Sciences and a reseearcher at Oregon Health and Science University. I am interested in pursuing a career in neurosurgery. My research interests include oncolytic gene therapy for the treatment primary CNS tumors, AI integration into clinical environments, and translational medicine.
My goals include building a successful application to match into the neurosurgery specialty. I have three years of professional experience as a medical laboratory scientist at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and National University of Naturopathic Medicine.
My priorities and goals revolve around nurturing my family, ensuring my research Interests align with my clinical interests, and contributing to team-based problem solving.
Loyalty it is paramount for me, both personally and professionally. I enjoy time with family when I am not doing research or attending to
medical student activities.
Dr. Ahmed Raslan has been one of my most important mentors and has significantly influenced my professional development and interests.
My wife and I have two children and four cats together. We like to keep things busy.
