Stephen Bowden, MD, is a 5th-year neurosurgery resident at Oregon Health and Science University. Originally from North Carolina, he attended the Manhattan School of Music for college and Columbia University for medical school. His work at OHSU has focused on medical education and neurosurgical oncology. He is currently working in the lab of Dr. Missy Wong at the Knight Cancer Institute, investigating leukocyte-cancer hybrid cells as a potential circulating biomarker of glioma as well as their role in metastatic spread and therapeutic resistance in glioblastoma.
