Texas A&M School of Engineering Medicine
Raiyan Talukder was raised in Tyler, Texas and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. He is now a student at the Texas A&M School of Engineering Medicine, where he will be earning a Masters of Engineering and a Medical Doctorate concurrently.
Talukder has a passion for data science, and he leads programming workshops to high school students across Texas. He has also facilitated numerous workshops with the Texas A&M Institute of Data Science for students to learn statistics and machine learning methods. He is currently a medical student researcher at Dr. Amir Faraji's lab in Houston Methodist, aiming to expand his knowledge and interest in functional neurosurgery.
During his down time, Talukder enjoys tinkering with his 3D printer and circuit supplies, spending time with his dog, and setting up his telescope for astrophotography. He is a member of the Brazos Valley Astronomy Club and Houston Astronomical Society.
