CRUK Clinical Research Training Fellow (Neurosurgery Resident)
Division of Neurosurgery, Department of Clinical Neurosciences, University of Cambridge, GB
I am a Neurosurgery Resident based in the University of Cambridge UK with an interest in how tumours interact with brain networks to disrupt cognition and promote tumour growth. I have been awarded a Cancer Research UK Clinical Research Training Fellowship and a Royal College of Surgeons of England Research Fellowship for my PhD studies.
My PhD studies the impact of surgery on cognition and tumour networks. By using diffusion and resting-state MRI we can identify imaging markers associated with surgical injury and computationally model the effects of surgery on network function. I hope to predict preoperatively the effect of surgery on postoperative cognition. This will facilitate shared-decision making between surgeons and patients to formulate personalised resections which preserve cognition and maximise survival.
