Vincent Nguyen is an Endovascular Neurosurgery fellow at the University of Southern California, training with Dr. Bill Mack and the cerebrovascular team. He was born and raised in San Jose, California. He received his B.S. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego. He captained the NCAA Tennis team and received an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship to attend Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He spent a year between undergraduate and medical school at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego performing basic research on the molecular mechanisms of traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage. He completed neurosurgery residency at the University of Tennessee/Semmes Murphey Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee. He plans to complete a postgraduate fellowship in Open Vascular Neurosurgery at the University of Southern California with Dr. Jonathan Russin next year. He is passionate about cerebrovascular neurosurgery, surgical video production, clinical research, and resident education.
